What is L-Carnitine?
L-Carnitine (β-hydroxy-γ-trimethylaminobutyric acid) is a naturally occurring compound synthesised from lysine and methionine. It is supplied here as a 500mg solution in 10ml vials.
Mechanism of Action
L-Carnitine shuttles long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane via the carnitine palmitoyltransferase system, where they undergo β-oxidation to produce energy.
