What is Adipotide?
Adipotide is a proapoptotic peptidomimetic that combines a sequence homing to prohibitin on the blood vessels of white fat with a pro-apoptotic domain.
Mechanism of Action
By binding prohibitin on adipose vasculature, adipotide is reported to trigger apoptosis of the endothelial cells that supply white fat, reducing the tissue’s blood supply in study models.
Research Applications
Adipotide is studied in preclinical research on obesity and adipose-tissue vascular biology.
Storage & Handling
