What is Glutathione?
Glutathione (GSH) is a tripeptide composed of glutamate, cysteine and glycine. It is present in millimolar concentrations in most cells, making it the most abundant non-protein thiol.
Mechanism of Action
Through its cysteine thiol group, glutathione neutralises reactive oxygen species, regenerates vitamins C and E, and serves as a cofactor for glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase enzymes involved in detoxification.
Research Applications
Glutathione is studied in research on oxidative stress, liver function, skin pigmentation, immune function and ageing.

Supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder for maximum stability. Store unopened vials at -20°C, protected from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe appropriate to your study protocol.
